Belgian Chef Jan Mortier has invested his 35 years of varied culinary experience in the creation of the successful l'Orange restaurant in Carvoeiro. Since taking over the establishment with his German wife Karin in the year 2000, this cozy and attractive venue was in 2009 listed in the reputable Michelin Guide. The cuisine is international and French with an imaginative menu that includes some enticing and unusual offerings. There is a delectable selection of starters and the main courses are equally mouth-watering being complemented by an excellent wine list containing Portuguese and international labels. The pleasantly decorated restaurant has an intimate and warm atmosphere, uplifted by the waitresses friendly and attentive service, and part of the dining area extends into an adjoining conservatory area fronted by French windows with views to the flower-decked outside terrace. Whether inside or on warmer days on the terrace in front, one always feels comfortable here. Please make sure to book a table in advance, as there is only a limited number of tables available. |

A large choice of starters, main courses and desserts are to be found on the MENU. On the wine list a nice selection of Portugal's finest wines, but also from several other countries around the world.

daily for dinner, closed on sundays. |
